Idea
At the heart of the composition is the image of the state as an ark carrying life through the storm of history. The vessel represents Ukraine moving forward despite hardship, while the young woman symbolizes a rising nation freeing itself from chains.
Symbols within the composition
The storks embody family, the people, and continuity of life. The chain represents oppression being broken. The sun placed within the silhouette of Ukraine points to unity, light, and the future. Together these elements shape a hidden trident, a sign of strength, freedom, and national renewal.
